National Study on Hearing Aid Wearers

The National Council on the Aging recently studied more than 2,000 people to see how hearing aids affect quality of life. Researchers questioned hard-of-hearing individuals as well as their significant others.

  • Perception of mental functioning

Hearing Aids Reduce:

  • Discrimination toward the person with hearing loss
  • Hearing loss compensation or pretending you hear
  • Anger and frustration in relationships
  • Depression
  • Feelings of paranoia
  • Anxiety
