Dr. Stephens

Robert W. Stephens, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Robert W. Stephens, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified otolaryngologist, founded Northside ENT in 1977.

He is a former chief of surgery and member of the executive committee at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital. Physician peers have named him a top ear, nose and throat specialist in Indianapolis Monthly surveys.

Dr. Stephens has extensive surgical experience with disorders of the nose, sinuses, salivary glands, thyroid and parathyroid glands, and larynx problems. The English- and French-speaking physician has an active interest in pediatric otolaryngology, including congenital abnormalities.

An alumnus of Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Stephens completed a residency in surgery at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Ind. and otolaryngology at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Dr. Stephens is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has been a volunteer clinical lecturer at IU School of Medicine since 1978.

Dr. Stephens serves on the board of Happy Hollow Children’s Camp. He is also a past president of this United Way agency, which provides summer camping experiences for Central Indiana children with special needs. These include asthma, diabetes and burns.

The Terre Haute, Ind. native served on the Indiana State Medical Association sports medicine committee for many years. The Indiana State Medical Association member also belongs to the Indianapolis Medical Society.

Dr. Stephens and his wife Susan, a retired emergency room physician at St. Vincent Hospital, have four children and four grandchildren.

Dr. Hackett

Scott A. Hackett, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Scott A. Hackett, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified otolaryngologist and president of Northside ENT, joined the practice in 1991. Physician peers have named him a top ear, nose and throat specialist in Indianapolis Monthly’s last five surveys.

Dr. Hackett also serves on the board of Naab Road Surgery Center. And he is a past president of the department of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at St. Vincent Hospital.

Active in patient care and medical education, Dr. Hackett has been named “Specialty Teacher of the Year” twice by St. Vincent Hospital family medicine residents. He has trained residents in this program since 1991.

He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine with highest distinction. The doctor also completed specialty training in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery in Indianapolis.

Dr. Hackett is a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association and Central Indiana Otolaryngology Society. Dr. Hackett is also an associate member of the Radiological Society of North America.

The ear, nose and throat specialist sees patients of all ages with diseases and disorders of the head and neck. Special interests include minimally invasive treatment of parathyroid and sinus disorders; thyroid surgery; voice problems and pediatric diseases.

Dr. Hackett and his wife Tricia have two children, Stephanie and Emerson. Mrs. Hackett is a member of the school board for Carmel Clay Schools.

Dr. Youkilis

Robert A. Youkilis, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Robert A. Youkilis, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified otolaryngologist, is chairman of the department of otolaryngology at St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Youkilis also serves on the board of directors at Carmel Ambulatory Surgery Center.

His physician peers have repeatedly named him a top ear, nose and throat specialist in Indianapolis Monthly surveys.

The doctor completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati and a residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Youkilis is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Youkilis is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Central Indiana Otolaryngology Society.

His special interests include the treatment of sinus disease, conditions of the thyroid, voice problems, parathyroid glands, pediatric otolaryngology, snoring and sleep apnea. He is also very interested in treating chronic sinusitis and allergies.

Dr. Youkilis and his wife Tina, a board certified adult nurse practitioner, have three sons. Mrs. Youkilis, a board certified adult nurse practitioner, teaches at Indiana University School of Nursing.

Dr. Beach

Jeffrey C. Beach

Jeffrey C. Beach, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board certified otolaryngologist, earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Indiana University Medical Center.

Dr. Beach sees pediatric and adult patients and his professional interests include sublingual therapy, allergy, sinus disease, disorders of the thyroid/parathyroid glands, salivary gland tumors and obstructive sleep apnea.

His wife Elizabeth Beach, M.D., is a pediatrician in the Geist Fishers area. They have three children, Jacob, Tressa and Kyle.
